Bed, Reading in

B

Reading in bed is a sure sign of advancing years, unless you’re reading the Sporting Life and selecting your bets for the following day’s racing.

If both you and your partner read in bed, it’s sensible to share a book, though discrepancies in reading speed may lead to irritation, arguments and physical assault.

There are undoubtedly many books which will soon have you nodding off into a good night’s sleep and the IRG (Insomniacs’ Reading Guild) recommend Lord of the Rings, A Brief History of Time and anything by Jane Austen.

Never read the Daily Mail in bed, as this will cause nightmares and serious damage to the bladder
