Trugs are small, flimsy baskets which many elderly gardeners use instead of buckets, old compost bags or wheelbarrows.
The standard sized trug is slightly larger than a soup bowl and will generally accommodate four weeds, a handful of worms and a pebble before needing to be emptied.
Trugs are usually supplied as part of a gift pack, which also includes a floral kneeler, a set of brass plant labels and a pocket scythe.
