Reflexology is the treatment of physical and mental ailments through the manipulation of specific areas of the hands or feet said to be related to particular organs and parts of the body.

Although there is some dispute as to its efficacy, there is anecdotal evidence that in people with very large feet, it can have a beneficial effect on blue tongue, limber-neck and tsutsugamushi (see Words, Unnecessary), while in people without feet, such sanative results are rarely seen.

To help beginners in reflexology, gloves and socks are available with the therapeutic areas delineated in different colours, but using these can lead to a false sense of expertise and may result in otherwise healthy patients developing blue tongue, limber-neck and tsutsugamushi (see Words, Unnecessary).
