Peston is a recently developed form of speaking whereby you begin each sentence with the word ‘well’, making it last for at least 20 seconds, before continuing by putting long and completely unnecessary pauses in all the (long pause) wrong (very long pause) places before suddenly runningseveralwordstogetherextremelyquickly.
It is not to be confused with Preston, which is a small town near Manchester, or Heston, which is a large rifle range near Charlton.
