Bouche, Amuse-

B

An amuse-bouche is a very small item of food, generally presented by restaurants to prepare you for the fact that your main course will fit comfortably onto a saucer.

Typical amuse-bouches include an olive skin filled with a microdot of raw salmon and a quinoa seed, a transparent wafer of salami tied around a peppercorn with a blade of grass and a thimble of celeriac puree with a crouton (sharing platter).

Amuse-bouche is also vernacular French for oral sex.
